Why should we replace our door handles with foot opening devices?

Foot-operated opening devices can reduce the likelihood of the spread of a virus through indirect contact.

Many diseases and viruses (including COVID-19) are spread primarily through respiratory droplets. Respiratory droplets are essentially small volumes of bodily fluid that can transmit a virus from an infected person to a non-infected person. So if an infected person coughs and gets fluid on their hands, they could then transfer that infection to anything they touch with their hands.
